It was introduced in 2009, it is Development and operations it is mainly used for continuous development and continuous integrating.
It has mainly four phases
Continuous development: It is continuous coding done by the developers
Continuous testing: What ever coding is developed it is tested if it manually it takes more time.
Continuous integration: Code is generated of different versions are stored in local repository for future purpose
Continuous Development: coding is developed and operational flow continuously it takes the efficiency of the product.
DevOps is not technology, language, or tool but it is a culture which emphasis on using various tools automation flows,collaboration and synchronization it is help to complete software development and deploy process.
