Installing Minikube on Ubuntu
20.04/18.04
Updating the system
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https
$ sudo apt-get upgrade
Install KVM or VirtualBox Hypervisor
$ sudo apt install virtualbox
virtualbox-ext-pack
Download Minikube
You need to download the minikube binary
and it should be palce it on usrlocal/bin location it is in side
the $PATH
$ wget https://storage.googleapis.com/minikube/releases/latest/minikube-linux-amd64
$ chmod +x minikube-linux-amd64
$ sudo mv minikube-linux-amd64
/usr/local/bin/minikube
For Conforming the version
$ minikube version
Install Kubectl in Ubuntu/Debian
$ curl -LO https://storage.googleapis.com/kubernetes-release/release/`curl
-s https://storage.googleapis.com/kubernetes-release/release/stable.txt`/bin/linux/amd64/kubectl
Make the binary to be executible.
$ Chmod +x ./kubectl
Move the binary in to that path location
$ sudo mv ./kubectl usrlocal/kubectl
Check the Version:
$ kubectl version -o json
Starting minikube
$ minikube start
Minikume basic operations
To check the cluster status
$ kubectl cluster-info
Fo viewing config
$ kubect config view
For checking the running nodes
$ kubectl get nodes
Accessing the minikube vm
$ minkube ssh
