Jenkins is not installing and showing the error like below

 

Certificate verification failed: The certificate is NOT trusted. The certificate chain uses expired certificate.  Could not handshake: Error in the certificate verification. 

In that case, you have to install the $ sudo apt install ca-certificates 

and again reinstall the Jenkins service you will get succeed.
